The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and West Indies is being played in Chennai. After a 2–1 win in the T20 series, India is now ready to start with a win in the ODIs. In the match on Sunday, West Indies captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and invited India to bat once again.

At the same time, Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian team, revealed his playing XI during the toss. Compared to the last match of the T20 series, India made Kedar Jadhav once again in the team, making two changes in the first ODI. Ravindra Jadeja has returned in place of injured Bhubaneswar.

Apart from these, Shivam Dubey, who performed brilliantly in T20, has got an opportunity to make an ODI debut. Kedar Jadhav has returned to the team after four months. He played his last match on 14 August this year against the Caribbean team on the tour of the West Indies, although he was forced to leave the team due to injury. The team includes three all-rounders in the form of Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kedar Jadhav.

Among the bowlers, Deepak Chahar is playing his second ODI match today. He played his first match against Afghanistan in Dubai in 2018. In such a situation, he has got a chance in the team once again. Apart from these, Kuldeep has also returned to the ODI team after August. In the last match of the T20 series, Kuldeep took two wickets in his name.
